Commitment

Accessibility

Clarkson Village Dental Clinic is committed to a website that as many people as possible can use, regardless of ability. We aim to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What we have done

  • Built and tested the site against WCAG 2.0 Level AA using both automated and manual checks, including keyboard-only and screen-reader passes.
  • Structured every page with proper headings, landmarks, and a “skip to content” link, so assistive technology can move through the site predictably.
  • Checked colour contrast against the actual palette used on the site, and kept keyboard focus visible throughout.
  • Made the appointment request form announce errors, mark required fields, and move focus to the first field that needs attention.
  • Written descriptive link text and image descriptions, and respected reduced-motion preferences.

Accessible formats and communication supports

If you need any information from this site in another format — large print, plain text, or an alternative that works better for you — we will provide it, or arrange a suitable alternative, on request and at no additional cost. The same applies to anything you need in order to communicate with the practice about your care.

Accessibility at the office

Our office at 1098 Clarkson Road North has a wheelchair ramp at the entrance, and there is parking close to the door. The entrance door is not automatic, so if you would like someone to meet you at the door and hold it open, call ahead on (905) 855-2622 and we will arrange it. We would rather you asked than struggled.

If there is anything else you need in order to get into or around the office comfortably, please tell us when you book. We will do what we can.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you run into a barrier, or need help with anything here, please get in touch and we will get back to you as soon as we can:

An ongoing commitment

Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a box to tick. We review the site periodically and fix barriers as they come to light, and we would rather hear about a problem than not. This statement was last reviewed in July 2026.
